Arrrr, A Showing of Pirates 2
On July 7th, we did a private showing of Pirates 2. It was our fix try at doing a private showing during the summer. X9 down at the Mall helped us to sell tickets. This show confirmed for us why we do not do private shows in the summer. Although we did not do as well as we might like financially, the show was a whole lot of fun for those who did make it.

Erin is such a cute pirate!

Tanya shows off her pirate booty.

That may or may not actually be a Mickey Mouse eye patch.

Galia shows off her lovely pirate wear after the movie.

A half full theater can still make a very fun and full Route 9 Diner. If you've never been to the Route 9 Diner in Hadley, your life is not complete. Go complete you life right now and go there.

The lovely pirate lasses of Phoenix Games.

"Pirates are kind of like Vikings," Kiernan says.
Also in July
Pirates was not the only thing we did in july. Just the thing that we got the most pictures of.

Dan and Anthony working their artistic magic. Dan makes a web comic which you can read at www.devrandom.mogunate.org. Anthony's works can be found at www.zombee.com

Some of the locals join Peter for a game of Illuminatti. I think I was there too, but one cannot be in front of and behind the camera at the same time.

Munchkin still strong after all these years.

Someone asked me today if the summer is a quiet time for us. This picture might answer that question. Our two best months ever have been July and December. Sadly, that best July was in 2004, but, honestly, who wants money. It's so much trouble with all the taxes and the counting.
Firefly Marathon

At our June meeting, we decided that there should be a Firefly Marathon. The original plan was for us to go all night and watch all 13 episodes, but people wimped out after a mere 7. There are rumors of a follow-up to run in September sometime.
