Back to School
September was a lovely month. We finally got the new A-frame sign completed. We also got a new back door, after being without one for nearly half a year. Now we can finally take the trash out! About time.
...
This is out lovely new A-frame sign. Bill built it for us, Erin painted it, and now it's ready for use. It's an awesome sign and has brought in quite a few customers. The only downside is it weighs about 40 pounds. That's alright. We gamers can use the exercise.

Pete (not the green shirted one) shares his wisdom on how to hit people with sticks at the Sunday SCA practice.

That is a pullout bed against that wall there. Lucky got it and needed to dry it out somewhere. Yet another use for your friendly local gaming store. Later that afternoon, a few of us did end up testing the bed. It worked nicely.

We get some weird people in here sometimes. Like this weirdo wearing sunglasses indoors.

And while you get over that image, here's a rabbit with a pancake on its head.
Bill, Bringer of Doors A door is defined by its ability to discriminantly prevent and allow passage. A door which cannot allow passage is more properly called a wall. That is what we had at the back of the Store ever since the door was damaged by someone kicking it in back in the Spring. Finally, we arranged with the landlord to get a new door, and Bill volunteered his expertise to install it. Phoenix Games <3 Bill.

First, remove the old door.

Bill does enjoy taking things apart.

Especially if it can be done with a hammer

Bill got a call from his fiancee. I distinctly heard him say, "Yeah, I was going to replace this door, but what the Hell. I think I'll just leave Michael with a big hole here." I was really hoping he was kidding.

Bill called this his casting of a Redneck Hold Portal Spell.

And finally the door was completed. Did I mention that we <3 Bill?

Normally you do not see me in the Galleries because I am behind the camera. In this shot, the camera is behind me.

Sometimes the Store gets so full we overflow to the floor. Sometimes success is rough.

The Magic Drafts continue strong after almost four years.

Chris K seems excited about it at least.

Why clean the store ourselves when we can have our pet robot do it. It's a Roomba, and his name is Ludo.

Using the Roomba is not just pushing a button and sitting back. There is some preparation required.
